We recommend Dr. Lee to everyone who asks. He is very thorough, very knowledgeable (including about medical topics outside of dermatology), and very thoughtful. In 2013, Dr Lee was the doctor that found and biopsied a small growth that looked like a cyst near my husband's eye, out of an "abundance of caution". It shocked us to find out that it was a metastatic tumor beginning to grow, the first in 10 years for my husband. It saved his life, literally. I have used Dr. Lee as my dermatologist for many years now. I stick with him because he is so thorough during my annual "mole." exam. This is not a comfortable exam for women of a certain age...can be embarrassing. He put me at ease and proceeded to examine carefully. I don't think he missed a hair on my head. I do find him rushed sometime, but he does answer my questions and explains why he is burning or freezing a suspicious spot. I think the Golden service offered at his practice is the nurse. I can't say enough about how happy I am with Dr. Lee! He is extremely thorough and takes the time to educate you. He's a rare hybrid of scientist and doctor. I found my needle in the haystack! His bedside manner is beyond words. I can't express enough how pleasant you will feel upon leaving his office! And did I mention he even calls you personally when you call his office with an issue. This should count as (2) separate "5 star" reviews because my husband and I were both seen by (Dermatologist) Dr. Joseph Lee, for full body scans, and to establish a relationship with a Dr. we felt comfortable with. Dr. Lee is exactly what we hoped for! He was very personable and easy to talk to. He reviewed our medical history(s) thoroughly. The full body scans were completed very meticulously. As he checked out each area we brought to his attention he was able to put our minds at ease.
I have recommended Dr. Lee to many of my family members & friends. Truth be known, I trust him w/ my life &, if it was possible for me to have him as my 'primary care' physician, I would in a heartbeat. When my 'former' primary care doctor insisted I was a worry-wart (when I found cyst in my breast, she minimized my concern w/ "it's JUST a sebaceous cyst; come back in a few months"), it was Dr. Lee who insisted (actually ordered me) to "have it removed immediately"! He helped save my life!
HORRIBLE VISIT!! Dr. Lee was mean, rude, and condescending. I was in tears after leaving. This is not the experience I would expect from a seasoned professional. I would not recommend Dr. Lee to anyone.
