My two malitpoos LOVE this place. We rotate between West LA and Tarzana bc we live in Valley and I work on westside. Only wish they had camera so I could see them all day. They make new friends every time they visit and leave very happy!

K9’s Only has been great for our 11 month old dog. With so many options in the Olympic/Sepulveda area, the team at K9s Only really sets themselves apart. They take care of our dog like they take care of their own – in fact, a few of the staff bring their dogs to work, and ours has become best friends with all of them. The entire staff cares, has great knowledge about dogs and their behavior, and is incredibly responsible and responsive. Jamie is a wonderful trainer – a “refresher” session is necessary every now and then for a puppy, but he loves working with Jamie and always comes home wanting to show off what he learned that day. Janet gives him the best baths and haircuts – very necessary considering how hard he plays at day care. We have also used their hotel service several times, and plan to continue doing so. If a dog gets this excited when he hears “day care” in the car a few blocks away and then pulls towards the door, then K9’s Only is definitely doing it right. We cannot recommend K9’s Only highly enough.

We came in to L.A. to spend the day with family at Universal Studios. We needed a place to keep our Sugar while we went. She was so well taken care of. And they loved her. I will use their services in the future. Thank you for taking care of our baby!!!

K-9s Only is the best! Our dog Zephyr has attended basic obedience, drive works, competitive obedience and boot camp. Zephyr is a high-drive Pitt-mix rescue with a lot of energy. Our trainer Brent (who is a dog whisperer for realz) worked with him one on one and in a group setting and we’ve come such a long way. If you own a dog in the city, you owe it to your pup and yourself to get some training. K-9s only will not only teach you how to do Cool obedience tricks, but also how to have a close and understanding relationship with your pup!

This place is great! I have used daycare, boarding and training. I have had great success with Brent and Daniella in train me and my dog Ginger. Can't recommend place enough! Also Ginger goes and comes back from daycare and boarding all happy.

W O R T H E V E R Y P E N N Y!!! Brent is a true professional and I could tell my dog loved and respected him. He understands dogs, and that us humans needs to be trained (we need to do our part too guys - the dog isn't the only one that needs training). I feel like he finds what works for each dog and uses that to drive them to success in their training. I noticed a HUGE improvement even after my 2 week follow-up (my dog did the 4 week in-facility training). She was not a puppy and is stubborn therefore I also agreed that she needed the extra week. I literally left K9's only and went straight to do a hike at Runyon with my dog and she was sooooo much better...I'm not even kidding when I say I teared up a bit because I was so happy to have such a well-behaved pup and knew that it was going to improve the quality of both our lives (my dog and I) since I can now take her pretty much everywhere with me because I know she will behave!

I have used K9s Only off and on since they first opened in the valley. But I have not had need for day care since 2016. I was shocked to find that I would have to pay $25 for an evaluation of my dog, who has been there boarding and day care and is very social. This because it has been over 6 months since our last visit. My 7 year old Labrador Retriever has not changed personality. And they would charge me the extra $25 even if I gave them the option of caging her if there were any doubts. I find the policy to be ridiculous and money-grubbing and am outraged. They just lost $350 since I was going to buy a 10 day pass because I just had to put down one of my dogs so my other one is alone a lot. Not a good business model or a way to gain and hold loyal, but periodic customers. Fortunately I have another place that is much more user friendly and cooperative and wants my business, which apparently K9s only does not. I gave them 4 stars for their facility, but would give them no stars for their attitude.

Hi Geraldine, Our policy is such due to the fact that dogs do change over time and if not a frequent visitor, can become snappy towards groups of dogs. We learned our lesson the hard way and therefore instituted this policy for the safety of all of the dogs in our care. I'm sorry that you were disappointed, but I assure you it's for the safety of the dogs. Additionally, our professional trainers spend 30-45 minutes on an evaluation and therefore require payment for this service.
