For years I've wanted to dine at Keke's Breakfast Cafe; however, it is quite the drive for me being I reside at the North end of the County. I happened to be in the neighborhood last Saturday to run a 5K so we coordinated a post 5K and birthday breakie here. We visited Keke's this morning and overall had a great experience! Even though it was very busy, the food was exceptional and our server was wonderful--she was kind, attentive, and had great energy that made us feel welcome. The only downside was at the front of the restaurant. We had to wait for a table, which was expected on a busy morning, but during that time we noticed the host interacting with several customers in a way that came across as unfriendly and unkind. Stopped here on my family's vacation in West Palm Beach. Jacqueline was our server and provided excellent service. She has to be within our top three servers of all time. You should give her a raise! The food was excellent and the place was clean and quiet.
After hearing so many great things about this brand I thought it may be worth the 40 minute drive, not so much. The greeting was pleasant and immediate and the service was exceptional, that's where the good ends. The food was bland and was a poor presentation. The eggs looked like they were cooked on a dirty flat top and the potato's were a hunk of grease. Came into Keyes today for some delicious blueberry pancakes and as soon as I came in the restaurant was full!! There was a small wait and the hostess Sandy was extremely sweet and helpful seeing she multi tasking all over the floor. It was only a 15 min wait and Sandy made sure I got a booth by the windows. The menu offers something for everyone and the food is nicely presented and prepared. I had a breakfast wrap and my husband had a waffle combo, both were delicious. I had a small issue where our server told me here would be a small charge for mayonnaise, which was a misunderstanding by our server. I mentioned it to the manager and he gave me a card to be used on our next visit; I wasn't expecting that and it was very generous of him.
