Everyone is extremely kind and caring. We couldn't ask for a better "place for mom"!! The facilities are beautiful and well-kept.

We had a chance to tour Laurel Glen at Stephenville and overall it was a good tour experience, it was a hard decision. I think my dad would have done well at either place. I just felt he would be a bit ore comfortable at [community name removed]

We love Laurel Glen. They are finally well staffed. My family member loves their staff. They respond quickly to our concerns. The facility is newly remodeled, and Frontier, the new owners, are very family oriented. We are now moving her into Memory Care, and the transition was very smooth. We've already recommended 2 other families here.

When we toured they had just changed ownership. The facility needed renovations, but they said that was happening in the upcoming months. The rooms that I saw would not be appropriate for someone using a walker, it was far away from everything. It was also more expensive for the same room size as another facility that we looked into.

I would choose Oakwood over other options in the area because of the level of care my loved one received. Her aides and the nurses were very responsive and always friendly, and they were very good about being very sweet and compassionate through the ups and downs of dementia. They were also very good at talking her into doing what she needed to do as far eating, grooming, physical therapy, etc. Oakwood was very diligent about cleanliness. Everything with the community was great, the staff is very easy to work with and very understanding. Since our loved one was only staying there temporary they were able to get us a furnished room which was very nice.

I loved the atmosphere and the attitudes of the staff. Bright and airy facility. Residential style room so homey, roomy. Safety obviously important. Residents engaged in activities. Outdoor facilities excellent. Planned outings and celebrations. Transportation available to appointments. Very pleasant staff.

What really impressed me was the layout of the community. My mom doesn't have to walk too far to get to the dining hall. She says the food is good. The staff seems friendly and very accommodating and interacts with the residents. My moms unit fits her well she has enough space to live comfortably. She is doing well-making friends going to activities and social events.
