Today we took our 7 year old granddaughter for her 1st dental appointment. She has Autism and it’s been difficult to find a Dentist in our area that can handle a child with Autism. She has many sensory issues, doesn’t like to brush her teeth, and is afraid of all electrical sounds, like battery or electric toothbrushes, hair dryers, hand dryers, blenders etc. She was treated so well by Dr Lavoie and his entire staff!!! My daughter had her first dentist appointment here at a year old. The hygienist and dentist were super friendly. The office was clean and well decorated. My daughter usually doesn't love it when I look in her mouth, but she was pretty cooperative for the dentist. I was very happy with how her first experience went!
What a wonderful experience. My 3 year old son had visited another dentist prior, and it did not go well. He had so much anxiety leading up to his visit, and afterwards told me “I thought the dentist would be scary, but it really wasn’t at all!” I myself have anxiety about the dentist and want to make sure my kids have great experiences and like it! The friendliest and most welcoming staff ever! We feel so comfortable from the second we walk in. Cannot stress the friendliness of EVERYONE! Everything is also very clean! The technology is great too-doing the forms ahead of time as wait times are almost non existent. We love it here and have recommended to all of our friends and family with little ones! Absolutely LOVED Lavoie Pediatric Dentistry. Every staff member we encountered during our visit today was FANTASTIC. From the receptionist to the doctor himself everyone was super friendly, down to earth and made this visit to the dentist as painless as possible.
