Original Equipment at an Amazon reasonable Price!!! OEM cartridges -- at a reasonable price. I had another printer before I bought the Brother Printer. I used less expensive generic printer cartridges for it. Although I have no definite proof -- I felt that the "compatible" cartridges contributed to the failure of my previous printer. With the reasonable Amazon price for the Brother cartridges I will be able to use OEM cartridges in my new Brother printer.
It pays to buy the name brand ink! It pays to buy the name brand ink for these printers. These cartridges provide good life and at a reasonable price compared to other printer brands. Very pleased with my purchase!

Brother High-Yield Cartridges Last A Long Time I used to just get the regular ink cartridges which lasted a bit, but always seemed to run out of ink too soon. These high-yield cartridges are great and last a long time (for me, that's about four months). I only print color documents for clients, and only if they need a paper version. Most of my printing is to PDF files, which saves a lot of money on ink, paper and printer wear & tear.
Relatively inexpensive I love my Brother printer so far. The ink is inexpensive and goes a long way. Individual tanks make for little waste. These are the higher capacity tanks that have about twice the amount of ink. Depending on where you get them they can be just a bit more expensive than the lower capacity tanks, so they are more economical.
cartridges did not last long I have purchased these cartridges from other vendors and they have lasted a lot longer. I only had these for a couple (2) months before they ran out. I do not print lots and lots of materials. This is a home use computer.

Yellow malfunctions but still usable For some reason, the yellow cartridge sends a signal to the printer that it is almost out for a brief time, and it did so even when it was new. it still works as it should, but the false message is a bit disconcerting.
QUALITY PRODUCT This is a manufactures product for my printer, in the past by using replacement inks I lost two printers. The manufactures product may cost more, so do printers. In the future I will only use the manufactures quality replacements.
