Yesterday we had to put our precious 15 yr old Miniature poodle to sleep. It was such a hard decision for my husband and I to make, but she was so sick. We loved her so much, and knew that she loved us. The Staff at Long Meadow Hospital were so compassionate , kind, and caring. They left us hold our baby until the end. They walked out of the room and told us to take all the time we needed. So many of the Staff voiced their sympathy to us. In 2014 we moved our Casey cat to Longmeadow Animal Hospitlal, because another veterinarian office had labeled her as "fractious", and seemed unwilling to give her the care that she needed. Granted, she was indeed a feisty and spirited old gal. But, at sixteen years old, and only 12 pounds, she was deserving of respect. Longmeadow's doctors and staff were willing and able to treat her, all the while giving her the loving care that she needed for a bite wound inflicted by a neighboring cat.
