Overall, 4 stars, what made our evening great was the service from Brody and Kendall. The food- meh- nothing spectacular. It’s your basic Italian dishes that you can get anywhere. The flavors were good, but not earth shattering. We would go back and ask for Brody and Kendall.

The service was really not what you would expect. Generally speaking, the fine dining in Scottsdale includes 5 star service. Beginning with the first experience at the bar and ending with a very awkward attempt at service recovery Luna missed the mark. We ordered the arugula salad which paired perfectly with the lemon pizza. We ordered the carpaccio, but our server forgot to put the order in so we didn’t get to try it. The servers were very nice and doing their job, but there were so many we felt like we didn’t have an opportunity to really sit and visit and enjoy. The food was Great

You will find the Luna by Giada to be expensive ....... However, once you realize that you may just have experienced one of the best meals that you have ever eaten you will agree that it was well worth it. I went in knowing that I wanted to order the Risotto with sea scallops and found it to be absolutely delicious, perfectly prepared Risotto with 2 plump and tasty sea scallops that actually filled me up. 10/10 experience! The food was amazing. Beef carpaccio, caprese salad, lemon spaghetti and the cheesecake. Everything was so well done in presentation and taste. The interior of the restaurant is classy, clean, modern and it didn’t feel like we were in Scottsdale! Gilbert was our server and was so knowledgeable about the menu, coursed the meal out perfectly and had great recommendations. We had heard wonderful things about Luna so we decided to try it. The wine list had a good variety of wines and the focaccia bread and appetizers were large and delicious. Our friends had raved about the lemon spaghetti. They said it was lemony and very creamy so 4 of us ordered it. The presentation was beautiful but there was hardly any lemon flavor and there wasn’t any creaminess. It was quite thick and paste like. It almost seemed like the sauce had been sitting around for awhile. We were so disappointed!

Reservations were for 8:15. We got seated close to 9. Otherwise all was lovely!
