They was supposed to insert a spinal stimulator but found the actual problem and fixed it without me having to have the stimulator
I had fusion from a accident at one of the steel mills back in 2000 after a long period of PT. And later a MRI. Dr.Rifai determined I needed fusion in c4 and c5 . He did a excellent job.I'm sixty six now and never had a problem since the fusion.
Dr Rifai performed neurosurgery at Franciscan St Anthony in Crown Point the afternoon of March 7th. My friend fell on January 26th hitting the back of his head. A CT scan came back as normal. During the ensuing 3-4 weeks headaches increased in pain level. A MRI on March 6 showed bilateral subdural hematomas. HIs manner was totally professional and caring at the same time! The followup by Dr. Jaffer was done in the same manner. He is now on the road to recovery. Thank you Dr. Rifai
He was very through with us and very informative of the problem and the procedure to resolve the injury. His professionalism and concern for our well being was beyond what we expected
I have been under the care of DR. RiFAI under two different occasions for the removal of a brain tumor,. At both encounters I have had complete trust in Dr. RiFAI and the most recent surgery with Dr. Jaffer his assistant also. As with the Doctors their staff is very professional and caring of the patients Mike Moloney

Appointment was rescheduled twice. The day of the appointment waited over an hour before I was called. Front office not friendly. Doctor did NOT explain the results of MRI and MRA and did not let me as questions and rushed thru appointment and said he will send me to another doctor in Chicago conversation only lasted about 3 minutes which I recorded the conversation. Doctor leaves and then nurse comes back and says here’s the doctors information called them to make appointment.
I wouldn't go to this guy if you have hip insurance, he will just call you fat and tell you to lose weight!
