Just became a client of this establishment after making an 8:45am appointment with my regular vet at County Line Animal Hospital, to be told by the vet they couldn’t do anything until the afternoon. What needed to be done was clearly understood over the phone. My brother has a 6month old German Shepard, she was in for surgery a couple days ago and ended up ripping some of her stitches. Trying to find the closest vets office to us because our primary vet was closed I called Macedon and told them that she was bleeding and if we could bring her in even though they were not the ones to do the surgery. We were triple booked from seeing other emergencies. We also had a Doctor on a well deserved vacation. We are fully staffed and would appreciate you collecting all the facts before commenting. Seconds do matter and the fact your pet would not have gotten the attention it required due to us tending to several previous emergencies we took in should be easy to understand. Vet Specialists is a 24 hour care facility that is designed to handle emergencies such as yours. We pride ourselves on our exceptional service.
The way that we were treated when our dog was brought in after an accident was terrible. We were not treated with respect or compassion. The only concern that the office had was how payment was being made! Holding our dog in serious condition in the hallway up by his back with a sling until all the checks were written and not even having a veterinarian come out and talk to us about his condition or surgery.
