Terrible place. They ruined my daughter's hair. The colorist had no idea what she was doing. We had to go elsewhere for corrective color! I believe the name of colorist who ruined her hair, was Karen, fittingly. Never again!

This was my second time at this salon. First time was to get my roots done and hair cut. Apparently, blow outs are included when you get your hair cut. Which I didn't know about. Then I went in again for the second time on Friday. I had an appointment to get my roots done. After the single process I was waiting for them to dry my hair. I gave them a second chance after they kept me waiting for over an hour. This time around it was 30 minute wait time with no one else in the shop. However, because they were expecting their regional supervisor, cleaning up was a higher priority than me. It is classic bait and switch. The last time I had the roots done, they were over processed and two shades darker so this month, I would need to pay another $80, to have a double process done to correct last months errors. What a joke. Plan to wait 30-45 minutes to start your appointment. Then plan not to get the services you scheduled during your appointment. I had a 2pm appointment that didn't start until 2:40, for a roots, gloss and blowout. Color was left in my hair for over an hour, no gloss, no blow-out. I rearranged my whole day around having an appointment to ready myself for an event. Went home with wet hair that wasn't glossed. Got there at 2pm left at 4:30 - 2.5 HOURS FOR ROOTS - I LEFT WITH WET HAIR THAT HAD NO GLOSS NO BLOW OUT. ... read more

Stay away from Madison Reed. They pride themselves in giving personalized color but that only works if you can use their stock colors. For over a year I was going to the Garden State Plaza mini bar and the colorists were helping me get a personalized color mixing two different shades. My color was great. Last week I went in to get additional products and they refused to personalize my color. I need to take the standard colors, case closed. The "Manager" was nasty, mean and not at all accommodating.
