Parents of college students you don’t have to pay these people for this service. FERPA protects anyone attending school a right to privacy (just like HIPAA, but for schools). if there is an emergency as a parent the school cannot release information to you if they are over 18. Just have your child complete the FERPA release form the school provides giving you the right to know what is going on with your child. I.e medical emergency, grades, if they attended class that day.
