Our first dining experience at the Marquee was good. Our server was prompt and polite. Our meals were well prepared, although the Scallop entree had what looked to be half scallops, not sure if a chef choice or they were running low. They were also over-seared. The Artisan Bread is well worth a try as a starter. We were seated in the bar area. I’ve struggled with whether to write this because I genuinely love Marquee. Since May 30, we’ve dined here eight times. The food is consistently outstanding, which makes experiences like this all the more frustrating. My question is simple: Why make a reservation if it’s going to be ignored? We arrived exactly on time for our reservation. The hostess looked us up, checked us in, and said, “I’ll try and find you a table.” That was an odd way to start, considering we had a reservation. The food is amazingly delicious, unique in character. Staff are very professional and create a relaxed atmosphere at the same time. I will be back to try even more of their selections.

We recently dined out with friends at Marquee at the Landing. Our server was outstanding. She was warm and very knowledgeable about the menu. At her suggestion, we started with the rosemary and duck fat hand cut fries. They were outstanding! We all enjoyed our entrees very much too. We were disappointed not to be seated in the attractive outdoor space, but because of the size of our group (5 people), they couldn't accommodate us outdoors and we were tucked into an out of the way table indoors. Everything about this place was fine, no more, no less. The food, atmosphere, and service were fine. I expected a more unique or fun venue. The venue layout seemed unnecessarily shifted so you have to make more turns than necessary to get around. We were seated near a loud, large group of women that had been drinking but thankfully they left a somewhat short time later. Menu is way overpriced for what you get. Love the building and restaurant itself. The dishes are hit or miss 50-50. Bartender served us. He was very attentive, but very awkward… kept on calling me Boss. And when I gave him his tip cash, he asked me if I need any change after I told him to keep it. I mean, I know it’s not exactly fine dining and I tipped over 20% but I used to be a waiter too so I know how it is…. But still, awkward… my date thought so as well

The food was terrific and priced reasonably. The service was also great. Our only drawback and it didn't really bother us was the noise level. When the restaurant filled up it did get pretty loud. Not sure how you can fix that but again, not a complaint, just an observation.

Our server Andrew was so gracious, very attentive to dietary restrictions for a member of our party. My usual is the Lamb Shank but branched out and ordered the Striped Bass. Got a new favorite !
