Dr. Popa made me feel very relaxed with his attitude. He gave me a shot in my knee and I didn’t feel a thing.
He makes you feel relaxed and like you can trust him to give you great care. He also has sense of humor he allows you to see him as a person. He listens and he jokes with you.
I first met Dr. Popa after an ED visit for an arthritic knee that would no longer support me or straighten out. Dr. Popa was so kind, gentle and thoughtful and I immediately knew he was the surgeon I had been looking for to do my surgery. I am 7 weeks post-op and doing well with minimal pain. With such a great staff and amazing PTs like David Ennis, I could not have imagined a better result. Both Dr. Popa and David have been true blessings to me and I am eternally grateful.
Dr Popa is professional but personable and has a great sense of humor. His calm manner put me at ease and I knew I was in good hands. I woke up after my surgery and my hip pain was gone! Hip replacement was not on my bucket list but Dr Popa did an excellent job and I’d recommend him to anyone who needs ortho surgery.
My surgery performed by Dr. Matthew Popa was the best decision I made in quite awhile. The surgery, including the pre through post surgery appointments he was caring, thoughtful, and talented which made my experience excellent I tried to avoid surgery bc of a botched knee replacement But when I was aware of the type of values this surgeon possessed, I felt comfortable in making a decision to go through such a serious operation. He went beyond expectations of any doctor I have encountered.
Dr Popa was my surgeon for both my knees. He is genuine, kind and caring. He treats you like family. I did so well with both my surgeries and I know it was his skill as a surgeon. From start to finish I would say there was not one thing that was not explained to me. I have so much confidence in his skill as a surgeon. He and his staff were not only knowledgeable but super great people. Please do not hesitate to have Dr. Popa as your surgeon. He gave me back my quality of life.
I had to have emergency partial hip replacement and was lucky enough to have the privilege of dr popa performing the surgery he far exceeds what my expectations would have been. He is very caring listens intently and addresses any of your concerns. I highly recommend him and his bedside manor could not be better.
Requested that my wife had hip surgery at Johnson Clayton hospital. Even though she had a hip replacement there a year earlier she was moved to Johnson Smithfield hospital.Was not given information about the surgery my wife was about to undertake and was not shown any xrays of the fracture. Requested several times to meet with the surgeon after the procedure to determine the result of the operation.
