There have been at least 5 executive directors in the last 2 years. When the residents press their pendants it can take several hours to get a response. There is very poor communication from the on site management, and you can't reach upper management at all. It's cheap, that's about the only redeeming quality of this place.

All residents given a necklace push button to call for help. My Dad pushed it several times, no one ever came to check on him. Many residents felt if they fell, they would be there a very long time without help. There were consistent food item shortages - no milk for coffee one day, no tuna the next day. My father had poor nutrition there. He couldn't read the menu and no one ever told him his options. A sandwich was alone on a plate. I would tell others that I believe that they are working hard at bettering the facility as a whole. i am still having some issues that are being worked out, hoping for improvements. They do have a lot of great staff, they just need more of them.
All I will say is I would not suggest Meridian at Lantana to anyone - I had a very bad experience with my dad there. The nurses and the aides lack of empathy... bottom line is it was all about the profit. I moved my loved one to a different facility.

My experience in dealing with Meridian had been an absolute nightmare. They have constant turnover in their administrative staff. There has been 3 different executive directors and two different business office managers in the nine months my dad has lived there. The current office manager is completely incompetent. The Meridian at Lantana is a licensed senior living provider that adheres to standard regulations. Sometimes there are situations that arise when an Ombudsman is contacted by family members. Even so, not every complaint filed is determined to have merit. If there are questions regarding any policy, our staff is happy to communicate with the POA or resident, whichever is specified at move-in.
The Atria has many positive programs for Independent living and assisted living. Recently my mother was asked to leave because she was on able to get out of her bed on her own. I found out after the fact they had only one CNA per floor. I have paid extra to have mom checked three times a night and if she needed it have her diaper changed. I found out recently they only check and do nothing if she needs changing. I have two excellent people taking care of mom from 10 AM to 10 PM Monday through Friday. BATHROOMS ARE EXTREMELY SMALL, LIMITED COUNTER SPACE NEXT TO SINK. ROOMS ARE TO SMALL. WHEN FURNITURE PUT IN, ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO NAVIGATE IN WHEELCHAIR. DISINFECTANT ODER IN CORRIDORS.

My parent was there for a little over a half a year. While the pricing is reasonable, this facility is old, clearly dated, the help and management are marginal. The food is below institutional quality, and the staff for the most partI found to be fairly unhappy and such is reflected in the level of service and lack of overall management oversight.
