Nice, but very confusing on getting around the insides of the building.

An initial visit could be confusing until you become accustomed to the various areas, but rest assured that residents don't generally have difficulty getting to and from their destinations. It was such a bad experience that I retained an attorney to handle the situation. They outright misrepresented what their capabilities were to the detriment of the gentleman I had placed there. They evicted him without telling me and did it by sending him to the hospital and then contacting me telling me that he had been evicted and could not go back to that facility. I still have not received any formal Communications from them in writing by mail or email that this had transpired. February was supposed to be free rent. It e... read more

There have been at least 5 executive directors in the last 2 years. When the residents press their pendants it can take several hours to get a response. There is very poor communication from the on site management, and you can't reach upper management at all. It's cheap, that's about the only redeeming quality of this place.

All residents given a necklace push button to call for help. My Dad pushed it several times, no one ever came to check on him. Many residents felt if they fell, they would be there a very long time without help. There were consistent food item shortages - no milk for coffee one day, no tuna the next day. My father had poor nutrition there. He couldn't read the menu and no one ever told him his options. A sandwich was alone on a plate. I would tell others that I believe that they are working hard at bettering the facility as a whole. i am still having some issues that are being worked out, hoping for improvements. They do have a lot of great staff, they just need more of them.
All I will say is I would not suggest Meridian at Lantana to anyone - I had a very bad experience with my dad there. The nurses and the aides lack of empathy... bottom line is it was all about the profit. I moved my loved one to a different facility.

Though we are always open to constructive opinions we cannot take seriously those that are simply meant to discourage others from moving into our community. We must politely ask you to stop making these type of comments about our company and our staff members.
My experience in dealing with Meridian had been an absolute nightmare. They have constant turnover in their administrative staff. There has been 3 different executive directors and two different business office managers in the nine months my dad has lived there. The current office manager is completely incompetent. Even so, not every complaint filed is determined to have merit.
