Excellent printer for the price You can turn this printer on and have a page print out in under five seconds. My more expensive Canon took more than a minute to do this, and shut down time on that was even worse. This printer is perfect if you want speed and reliability for a great cost. This is my first Brother printer - filter on highly rated printers on Amazon and the results are dominated by Brother. I can see why.
Good Great price and quality for what i paid for
Works well and great duplex printing The set up was easy, it works with Google Cloud for printing from a Chromebook, as well as all my other devices. My only somewhat minor complaint is that the black printing isn't really dark in comparison to my former printer (Epson), but for the price and the other qualities, it's a perfect printer for my needs.
Better than I expected I bought the Brother MFC-J491DW to replace a simple HP Deskjet 1010. I wasn't expecting much because of the price but I was looking forward to utilizing some of the features. While the print and scan quality isn't the greatest due to lower resolutions, the physical functionality of the machine is outstanding. Very Easy Easy to use, compact, plenty of features.
So far I love it! I have read many various reviews on this printer.... I still bought one. LOL. So far, I am very happy with it. I like a paper tray that actually works. The starter ink set does go quickly so just purchased a high yield set to see if this is any better. The printer has a nice self cleaning function but it is a surprise when it comes on. I always think someone is on my network printing when that happens. LOL. Be careful if you use the "Refresh" feature for ink. Unless you are getting free shipping, it's cheap... read more
Pleasing This all in one is so much better than all of the HPs I’ve ever owned. I changed to this from an HP4502 and am very happy. Set up was cake and it connected to Wi-Fi within 5 seconds. Print quality is outstanding. Ink is easier to change. Happy, happy, happy.
