Had to Replace an old HP We bought this printer to replace an HP 8600 (after several years of good use, the printhead finally failed). Printers have come way down in price, and we wanted one that was of great quality and had the same multiple features of our old HP (color print, scan, fax, wireless connectivity, etc). and this Brother printer fit the bill. It was easy to set up, print quality is great and all the features are there and easy to use. Highly recommend this printer.

IT JUST WORKS! I won't diatribe about all the ills surrounding inkjet printers in general, slow, jammed jets, expensive ink refills etc; In contrast, this printer is FAST, and seems to be able to handle sitting for long periods of time without the inkjets becoming jammed. When I say fast, you can print from a mobil device in another room, and the finished job is waiting for you when you walk into the room where the printer is. Refreshing change I have always had HP, but found that their quality has gone down, their ink prices have increased, and seem to go through more ink, requiring more frequent costly replacements. So we decided to try Brother. How refreshing! HP always took so long to warm up, buzz, whir, and make noise until it finally printed. Brother just .. PRINTS! Wow. Great. The ink lasts a lot longer, and you can even buy an XXL cartridge that lasts MUCH LONGER... and for the XXL cartridges it is still a less costly ink than HP ever was... read more
