Five Stars Prints fast and color quality is not bad.
Decent everyday printer After my not so old HP photosmart print heads went out, I was trying to decide whether or not to buy a laser printer. I didn't want to get another HP inkjet as the cartridges are so pricey. I wanted an all-in-one for basic everyday printing. I settled for this Brother printer after reading various reviews. Reliable Printer Unlike the Canon printer I had, this printer works as it should. It's very low maintenance and quiet.
Three Stars Super slow.
Amazon Rules in protecting its customers. The third and I presume, final, Brother printer is installed and has fax capability. It is working great, as I expected. I would like to thank Amazon for seeing that this was properly handled. I purchased a signal booster from Amazon, because I live in a nursing home where a Guest Wireless signal is available to all staff and residents. EXTREME PRINTING Good quality for its purpose, but VERY aggressive and loud printing sequence. Look up the video "Extreme Rice" on youtube, and that's how this printer does a job. It pretty much slaps out a piece of paper from the stack, screams at you while its printing on it, and then throws it at your face. It will be well known when someone is printing something in your house.
Best printer I have ever owned I have owned quite a few brands of printers over the last 30 years and this printer is the best I have ever owned. Easy to setup and to operate. Scanning is a breeze which was not the case with my last multipurpose.
SETUP FOR MAC AND IPHONE WAS EASY - NO PROBLEMS & FAIRLY QUICK not sure why others complain about setup. I found it quick and simple. Mac computer and iPhone user here. Had printer, computer and iPhone all hooked up and ready to print in about 30 minutes. Prints fine - no complaints. Quality very good. I have not tried printing photos using photo paper yet BUT that wasn't my original intention. I was looking for a good printer with cheap ink.
The color prints are not top quality but they are good enough for my needs Previously owned an Epson. What a difference, I still haven't had to purchase any ink for this printer. The color prints are not top quality but they are good enough for my needs.
