I came to Dr. Delgado to fix a previous breast surgery that resulted in my breasts separating. He replaced textured implants with silicone implants which resulted in a greater seperation of my breasts. He did a nipple lift that didn’t lift my nipples but only stretched the aerola. They were a half dollar size and now they are a sand dollar size. I asked for my breasts to be revised but they want to charge me another 7500. No way. Dr. Delgado had good reviews and seemed to be one of the most experienced Gynecomastia surgeons in the area. However, he was difficult to communicate with, and based on some research afterwards, I believe he made a few bad choices in the procedure that were completely avoidable. 1. He puts drainage tubes in for every Gynecomastia patient. I had an extremely small case, but he still but them in both sides. This is the most painful and difficult parts of the recovery process. Before my appointment I had only contemplated fat transfer but looking through reviews and results of implants, and having my consult with Dr. Delgado I knew implants were really what I needed. Dr. Delgado did a good job on my breast aug. he didn’t pressure me to go bigger than I wanted, and his office staff were nice and helpful (at first). I told Dr. Delgado about my issues and concerns with hypertrophic scarring and he brushed it off like “that won’t happen, I’m a plastic surgeon”. He didn’t offer embrace strips, pressure dressings or me along injections post-op. When the scars started to really form he then recommended silicone sheets, but it was too late. I’ve reached that age were fillers just don’t do it anymore. After extensive research and meeting with several doctors, I decided on Dr Delgado. My surgery date is November 14 of this year!!!! I am anxious and nervous and will update you as a journey continues.
I came to Dr. Delgado for a reduction from an F-cup to a B/C, a four- to five-cup change. I told him that my goals were to minimize weight on my shoulders and neck, and to make running and outdoor activities more comfortable. Hello all, I am 31, have two children ages 8, and 3. Always have been fit but during my first pregnancy developed preeclampsia and severe edema. Then while pregnant with my second I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. In a nutshell I have an auto immune disease where my body attached my pancreas. So my poor pancreas does not produce insulin. Dr. Delgado performed my second gynecomastia surgery in October and I could not be more pleased with the results. My first surgery was done by another surgeon a year before, and was a total disaster. He over-extracted tissue from areas of my chest where I told him not to, and didn't address my primary issue which was puffiness around my nipple area.
