what if I don't want to write anything?
No one likes to be told you need an m.r.i.. I have had them in previous years at Dartmouth and Alice Peck day hospitals. My experience over there was horrible. So i came to "open m.r.i" with some nervousness. The staff was very nice, and put me at ease right away. I was shown the m.r.i. machine, and we went over what the procedure entailed. They gave me headphones to listen to something distracting while the machine did its job. I'm claustrophobic. But I was made comfortable and always told the length of time for each scan. One suggestion would be books on tape. I think that is already happening. Just wasn't ready for my MRI.
