I do not recommend this vet at all. I’m still mind blown at the fact that North Country Veterinary Clinic Oswego located in Oswego, NY turned away my son’s dog today when he brought her in the office bleeding out and dying. They told him to take her to Syracuse which was an hour away and she would’ve died before they got there. The emergency vet in Syracuse said it was an eight hour wait. We've been using North Country Veterinary for over 20 years. Our Mya was attacked by a predator and I drove her to clinic and was there & 8:00 AM opening. Katie, receptionist said short staff and wouldn't let us in for life threatening emergency. Told me to try Rapids clinic, to no avail. Bigfork was closed on Friday, but Ann told me she'd open. was told my dog had a sore neck and the next day she was limp and had been bleeding and passing clots. This vet was unavailable because of the holiday and by the time I got her to the vet in Bigfork she was too far gone. Lost her on Christmas for supposedly perhaps a neck injury. Ya I do not recommend them
Our regular vet wasn't available, so we brought our dog here because he was clearly not feeling well & was breathing abnormally. Dr. Sellek ran blood tests, prescribed medication, & assured us that we were being overly concerned, that our dog would be fine in a few days. We went home & followed her instructions exactly. Great vet for a while, until we brought our cat in for an infection in his arm, it had swelled to 3x the size it shouldve been. They gave him an antibiotic but as his condition worsens I called them 7times and everytime they told me it just needed to heal on it's own. Today I got home from a work trip, checked on my cat and immediately called the emergency vet who told me they would not see him until we paid them the 300$ my roommate and I owe. Over priced, bad hours and last appointment for the day is scheduled 45 minutes prior to closing. And not willing to work something out for just a quick rabies shot.
