Took our English bulldog rescue in for a cherry eye evaluation. Was told the tissue around his eye was inflamed and were told he would be using drops possibly forever. The dr said he would perform the surgery right then. I expressed my concern about the tissue being inflamed and suturing into it. I was told it would be fine. We begrudgingly signed the waiver stating that if the $1500 plus cherry eye surgery failed. We would have to pay again. Ended up being over 2k with meds. On July 24, 2019, I took my service dog in for a routine cataract surgery. I paid over $3000 to have the surgery. My dog, Beau, was in great shape and health. She was running around and very playful. After the surgery I received a call that she had a little complication with her heart so they were going to retain her for the night to continue monitoring.
