I can not even begin to tell you how wonderful this school has been to us. We have been enrolled in preschool since the beginning of this school year, coming from a not so good experience with a "franchise" local school. The owner is an unbelievable person to have developed what is here. The staff is wonderful, and everyone greets my little girl each morning by name (even if I don't know who they are). My kids have attended the OGA family since 2006, after moving there from a well known, high end private school a few miles away. We love it, our kids love it and I recommend it to people all of the time, as I now know how a parent feels when leaving other people to help raise their children. These people are with your kids more than you are, so it's important that it feel like a home, where everyone knows you and your child.
We (along with many other families) left Oak Grove Academy in Feb 2023 for better care and education elsewhere. Despite talking a lot about the curriculum, Oak Grove really just provides babysitting services. They will show you the binders of curriculum and that it's posted outside the classroom door. We enrolled our child after a great in-person tour followed by a virtual tour. Unfortunately, our actual experience fell short of what was promised during our visits. First my child was enrolled in the wrong class after three separate discussions where we confirmed where she should be placed. Because of this, the app the school relies on and promotes was set up incorrectly, and I ended up getting messages from a teacher about a different child in a different class.
