Usually… I have a great experience here. I can get in and out in about 1.5 hours. Today was different. I walked in to 8 donors in line. Normally, this would take about 10 minutes to reach the test station. Today, however, I left after waiting OVER ONE HOUR in line. There was ONE technician available. Another tech would occasionally step in to test one donor…then leave. The line kept growing and when I left, there were 19 donors waiting. Came in Monday at 11:20 for the first time, went through the entire first donor visit and was put in waiting area for the actual donation, by 3:24 I still wasn’t even started, I had been overlooked . I had to pick up my grandson and was told by 3 different people that since I was in the system I could come back asap and get in fast. That is absolutely not true. They have done nothing but give me the run around and I have not been able to donate one time, drove an hour each time! Going home with low fuel light on because supposedly there is two of me with my ss and dob different last names, one maiden one married. they could have told me this the first two times instead of letting me continue to drive. also they were discussing it in the main area, it was obvious as they were all staring at me! one asked before that why I have a limp dude it's been there all three visits, they do... read more
After checking my vitals, it was determined that my heart rate was too low. Was told to go outside and do something to raise my heart rate but then told that I have to wait five minutes afterwards to retake my vitals. Was denied the ability to donate 2 days in a row and was denied the paperwork to give my PCP in order to get a waiver
Recommendedthey're awful with communication. first they didn't give me not 1 but, 2 referral bonuses due to something on their app that messed up. 2nd, the courier company lost my first blood draw and it deferred me, instead of calling me, they let me drive an hour and let me know when I showed up that I had to have blood drawn again. I depend on my plasma money every week to keep but, was rudely talked about amongst coworkers about "people shouldn't rely on plasma money, it's not a guarantee... etc!"
