Run from this place.RIPOFF . He gave me a crazy price 400.00 dollars to do a 3 minute bonding on my tooth.I refused and then they wanted me to pay a consultation fee to tell me there overpriced estimate. I went to another dentist around the corner and he charged me 55 dollars .It took 3 mins .
Chose Dr. Bauer because he is on the list of my insurance. Not sure of dentist's honesty. He said I have 4 cavities (according to some electronic measurement device I never saw before) on a side where I never had a cavity. I let him fill two at $200 each. He said this was after insurance allowance. (My insurance not listed above.) I postponed the remaining two, and decided to get a second opinion from my old dentist in Manhattan when I was there. AWFUL experience with Dr. Bauer. He charged me $175.00 per tooth for a desensitizer for six cavities he told me I had. He never discussed with me whether I even had sensitive teeth (I do not). To make a long story short, he charged my mother $700 for a desensitizer used on 4 cavities he filled. After a lot of research, most dentists do not even charge for the desensitizer. Whoever wrote these prior reviews I dont know but they seem like set ups to me. Dr Bauer is an ok dentist but is dishonest when it comes to billing, and he refuses to honor insurance discount plans that he is networked with. For 3-4 years he was billing my family and I $85 per regular teeth cleaning 2x per year for what later turned out to be fraudulently billed to us as deep cleanings all because he did not want to honor the 2x per year free cleaning inclusive with our insurance dental discount plan.
