Orkin appears to be no better than Erlich, my previous pest control company. They both come and go at the speed of light! One would think, if asked to do the garage and basement (both are HUGE) they’d take 15-30 minutes minimum. But both were outta here in no time! I may be searching for yet another pest control company in the spring.
I had been a customer of the local company that was bought out by Orkin for many years. My mother had been a customer as well. I found the customer service was very good until they changed to Orkin. However, I stuck with them because I assumed that they would remain professional and reliable. Last year during a termite inspection the technician said he found a lot of evidence of an active rodent infestation in my attic and he told me I needed a $14,000 treatment and remediation and insulation replacement job. Never in all the time that I have been under contract with Orkin, did they come INTO my house and check the interior. t was always"just need to do the exterior and the garage". now I have termite problems, that are obviously not new.....Plus the price goes up EVERY year!

This entire "service" (I use the term VERY loosely) that I have to leave work early for once a month to attend their "inspection" is the biggest waste of my time. thankfully the "services" were paid for by the seller of the home I purchased and I will not be renewing. I'm just happy it wasn't me who wasted money on this fraud of a company. do yourself a favor and don't ever let Judy Hernandez at Orkin write a contract up for you. I loved having Orkin, they really kept the pests away. BUT BEWARE....... when I cancelled my service because I was moving to a different city they REFUSE to cancel. I now live in Suffolk, they continue to service the Norfolk house that I moved out of in December ( it is almost April now) I talked to numerous reps on the phone, I sent a nasty gram letter to the manager at Thurston ave about his people who cant seem to cancel my account ( Yes I am well past the 2 year contract time) I don't know what else to do about them bu... read more
