I strongly recommend not using Orkin as your Exterminator. I have been dissatisfied for some time, but today was the last straw. I received a service to treat the outside of my property. Something that I've never requested. I saw their technician on camera treat the front of the property only and then send me a bill for $130. i was told when i booked this for a year that i could cancel this service at any time it would have to just be 30 days in advance. i called many times and after leaving a few voice mails saying i no longer want or need this service they are now saying i MUST have this service for a year because of a contract. i understand a contract. but i am no longer at that address 100% of the time and i can no longer afford the monthly bill. i called and had the most rude lady answer the phone and then asked to speak to someone else. the... read more
We were misled with our salesman on services being provided . Our first appointment was suppose to be an evaluation as well as start to take care of the problem. The exterminator was at our house for 15 mins and never entered our attic where we told them our problem was. They charged us over 200 dollars for this visit. We were never told they wouldn't enter the attic. The orkin guy Darren came in to my home with an attitude today, I let him know I have had some roaches and I said is that normal in this weather and he said no and started to spray all over, didn't let me know what he was doing or anything. I asked him if this was poisonous for animals since k have 4 dogs and 2 cats, his response was I DONT KNOW as he shrugged his shoulders.. he said a few smart comments to me and I asked him to leave my home. Great service in the beginning. Got rid of bug problem. Almost 2 years into contract I try to cancel and the are impossible to break up with. Continue to charge my credit card and schedule appointments even though I cancelled. Call to complain they hang up.
Inefficient pest control! Keeps trying and keeps failing to block mice which is the reason I hired them!
They give you the bait and switch. The first guy was amazing! Super knowledgeable and nice... everyone after that was horrible - actually seemed scared of the rats. When i called to request him again, I was told he's not a option. Never got the appropriate emails, texts stating when they were coming, and time frames. Then the kicker was you have to give them 30 days to cancel. But they don't even give you a heads up they are on the way! Just avoid!
The Orkin man is advertised to have so much knowledge about pest control so I got the service. First bad thing is they will do anything in their power to sell you their service and then will not let you cancel the service. They come to your house set up glue traps and leave. Basically the only thing they'll do is set up a few traps and not close any openings or even try to find entry ways.
