RecommendedI had 9 teeth removed and my jaw was wired shut for 2 weeks. Everything went great with help and follow up from the office. I'm great full with the work performed. I recommend this office to anyone going through any type of dental surgery needs.
Recommended5 �����Dr. Alicea did a great job extracting my daughter wisdom tooth. This is the second time I put one of my children on his hands. Dr. Alicea is a great professional. He always shows how much he cares about his patients. Thank you Dr. Alicea for making my children experiences with oral surgery an easy and relax one.
The surgery itself was fine, but the experience leading up to it was stressful and poorly handled. Consultation felt rushed (surgeon spent <10 minutes), and the nurse was rude, hard to understand, and didn’t explain PRF or Exparel. Front desk had music so loud I could barely hear them. On surgery day, I was made to wear a scrub top because my shirt “would distract the doctor” — unnecessary, rude and uncomfortable. Dr. Antonos abruptly canceled my 18-year-old son's wisdom teeth surgery after he was already prepped with an IV and had blood drawn, stating he didn't like his "attitude." My son was nervous, as any teen would be, and was reluctant to hand over his cell phone (which was put away in his pocket) but he was compliant. I would not recommend this place. Back in September, I had 3 wisdom teeth removed, one surgically. I thought it felt wrong but assumed the stitches were what I was feeling. I eventually realized that while removing my top wisdom tooth the surgeon had accidentally chipped the top of my back tooth. I went back to ask what they could do, to which he replied that he did not have the equipment to fix my tooth. He would not even admit that it was his fault or offer to covers the costs of fixing it. Excellent service and experience with Dr. Alicea but front desk employees horrible. They cancel my appoints and they never notified me. I find out because I call to verify which office I have to visit. Then next day available is in almost 3 weeks... Very disappointed.
Unable to make appointment. Made multiple calls, left voicemails, left emails, and used live chat twice. Attempted over the span of two months to make an appointment but no one would either set the appointment up or return my my messages. Would not recommend due to incredibly unprofessional office staff.
Update: Dr. Alicea made things right with my mom by offering to refund the $300 mentioned in this review. While she is still waiting for the refund, I commend the doctor for putting forth the effort to check on my mom by calling her and by his offer to refund the charge. I'd like to reiterate, the doctor and his surgical staff took great care of my mother and the results were fantastic. The doctor and his assistants were great.
