Beware of Park Community Credit Union’s “Dormancy Fee.” I opened a small savings/checking account with $100 to keep an emergency fund. After not using the account for a while, I checked my statement and discovered they had been charging $10 per month for “lack of activity.” When I went to the branch to ask about it, the teller simply confirmed the fee and didn’t offer any alternatives or even attempt to keep my business. Frustrated beyond belief!!! I have had an account with Park Community for years, always extremely happy with the personnel. However I recently applied for a loan through Park Community for the first time. The process was excessively long and tedious. In the first communication via email I listed the item to be purchased with the loan as a trike motorcycle, THREE days later I was informed that the loan would be approved for “other” (“because policy is that a trike is not considered a motorcycle”) at almost double the interest... read more
