Got a new house and inherit the name of the heating oil provider from a sticker on the burner. Talked to them on the phone (twice). Got really bad experience (twice). The so-called "customer service" (last time it was Jason who drove me nuts) instead of giving prices for their variable plan, tried to nail you into a fixed price plan and extract information 'how low is the level in your tank'. Worse service ever
It didn't go anywhere. It's been about 2 weeks since I requested that someone contact me about replacing my current heating system and I have yet to receive a call. If this is how they treat perspective customers I hate to see what happens when they get on the job.
I was a loyal customer for 20 years. However, this winter they let my oil heater run dry and then charged a full $1.25 a gallon more than the previous delivery to fill me up. When I called other dealers in the area, none of them had raised there prices. To add insult to injury, when I called to complain they kept me on hold for at least 30 minutes and offered to give me a 50 cent reduction on the Fuel that they had gauged me for. I switched to Rydel Fuel and so far am quite happy.
If you value your money, time, or property do not do business with Petro.
I have been a Petro customer for 8 years. I have a service contract for my oil furnace with them, and they replaced my oil tank last year. Their estimates are a bit pricy, but I know what I'm getting with them and have always been very satisfied with the results - until I signed up for their air conditioning service plan last summer. First of all, the first bill they sent me had a late charge on it, inappropriate, which I had to waste time getting them to remove. According to them, because I told them that I wanted their service over their phone, when I asked for information through the mail I was obligated to pay them for their service.
