Have only had the unit for a couple of weeks now. Had my old Hayward for 7 years so kinda hard to see say if I'll get my money's worth. We do like the attached brushes to scrub the pool floor and it defiantly moves around the whole pool which our older unit stopped doing well. It does seem to require a few more RPMs from our variable pump but it likes to climb the walls to clean. Nice. Also really like the locking hoses that came with the unit. Easily a $75 addition. Easy to assemble and get started. Comes with plenty of hose and adapters. Cleans great and easily climbs the walls in our vinyl liner pool. We've owned several different brands, but the Polaris MAXX has been the only one worth the money.

Excellent purchase and excellent performance! Price point was fair for overall performance. It tries hard to climb steep pool walls as advertised, but falls short on any wall past 1/4 from floor! The MAXX does a much better job than my fired "Pool Person." Spent under $500 with rebate and well worth the $. With my You Tube education and offset of pool university, I'm learning that I should open my own business as a pool guy and should have fired my pool guy earlier!
