easy to set up and easy to use. cleans up sand and other items in pool. Negative, should not pull by cord to get out of pool but on above ground pool cannot get out unless you do so, and i had green algae in places, all it did was run over those spots. still had to manually vacuum all algae spots

Thanks for choosing the Polaris P70, Paul! Your trust and satisfaction are our top priorities. To remove your Polaris P70 from the pool, gently pull the floating cable to bring the cleaner within arm's reach, then use the handle to lift the cleaner from the water. Never lift the cleaner out of the pool by the floating cable. No automatic pool cleaner is designed to clean up algae. Automatic pool cleaners are best suited to maintain a kept pool. We hope these tips have helped. If you have questions or would like further ... read more
It doesn't work correctly. It starts and stops for no reason. It turns to the side for no reason. It tends to stay in one area because of these issues. And it doesn't last. I just replaced my original one that lasted 3 years.

Don’t have a huge pool above ground, I need to run this machine for two cycles to clean most of the pool. Where it cleans it’s great but never cleans entire pool.

The reason is that I've turned my Polaris P70 unit into my local Leslie's Pools & Supplies (4 months ago) & they still have it because they're not able to install new brushes . . . because they don't exist. . . & cannot seem to be found anywhere. That being said, Leslies continues to sell this unit on their floor (@ Swan & Sunrise in Tucson AZ); knowing that there are no replacement parts (such as the brushes; which are expected to wear out & need replacing . . Anyway, after much footwork & many phone calls & emails . ... read more

The cord is too stiff, the cleaner does not pick up everything and does not move well in the pool. Very expensive and do not recommend. I returned it to the store. Very disappointed

We are sorry you didn't have a good experience with your cleaner, Myriam. We wish we could've had the opportunity to help you and hope you find a product that works better for you. All the best, Your Polaris Team
If there are leaves right under the p70, it will probably pick it up, but the thing mostly goes in small circles and in no way covers the entire bottom of the pool in two hours. (it shuts off at about 2 hours). you cannot speak to anyone at the company.... they are so busy with complaints
Business response:
Hi John, Thanks for sharing your valuable feedback! A suggestion that will improve pool coverage is to ensure the cleaner cable is entering the pool at the center of the length of the pool and that only the required amount of cable is allowed into the pool. Essentially, you should only allow enough cable into the pool to cover the furthest point from the cable entry location in the pool. When positioned centrally along the pool, the robot will clean with the most optimal pattern and widest range of coverage. We hope this... read more
I Called for weeks and the robo part of the call kept hanging up on me because they were too busy. It told me to call back some other time. I didn't get through to talk to tech support until I acted like I was a business and not a consumer. I told him the p70 worked good last year. I told him this year I added an ionizer system to the pool and that adding 20lbs of borate for the ionizer seems to have changed the specific gravity of the water and my P70 now has a buoyancy problem. It doesn't have enough weight on the ground ... read more

We are so sorry you've had such a negative experience, Brady. We want to help! It sounds like there might be air in the canister. We recommend running the cleaner without the canister and see if there is a change. If it runs better with the canister removed, then we recommend cleaning the canister with a soft brush and dish soap to prevent air from gathering in the canister. If you continue to have issues, please take your cleaner to a warranty service station for a diagnostic review. You can find a local station usi... read more
The Polaris P70 SUCKS! It broke after 3 hours and I got it replaced and this time it broke 5 minutes after taking it out of the box! I was told that another customer had the same latch issue and his broke too. Over $700...I definitely will not be getting another Polaris product! I just got a full refund.
Business response:
