I signed up with power wizard to reduce my overall electricity costs. However, their program signed me up with a company whose rate was higher than what I was already paying. I called customer service to confirm that they will sign you up with their best deal regardless if it is higher than your existing rate. In essence, I paid them $8.66 to raise my current per kilowatt hour cost by 1 cent, which based on current usage would increase my bill by $40 per month. Yes Power Wizard can find low electric rates. But you cannot trust their customer reps setting up your account correctly with the electric provider! I spent an hour correcting my account with Power Wizard (PW) and a new provider. When PW switched me to a new power provider they forgot to set up auto pay with this provider. So Saturday I received an email from PW that my electric bill was due. I replied to the email asking if they had setup auto pay. No reply! Keystone Cops. I signed up with Power Wizard on November 23rd, and their confirmation promised to start my new power service November 24th. Later in the afternoon, I received forms to complete from Smart Meter Texas, which must be completed before an service provider change could talk place. I completed and returned them the same day. By December 4th, I had not yet heard from Power Wizard or my new Power Provider, so I called Power Wizard. Terrible customer Service. They told me they were signing me up for autopay, but did not. Resulted in a late fee from provided. I emailed them twice in 2 months and they have yet to respond a month later. I would not recommend this service to anyone. Its a waste of time and will cost you money.

I heard a radio ad for power wizard, I tried to sign up over a Saturday, They failed to disclose that leaving my current provider would incur a early termination fee, that hey failed to Register me with Power Wizard, and somehow also managed to get my account switched, what a mess I had to deal with. STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND

Very misleading. I would give zero stars if I could. I signed up and they switched my plan. 10 days later, I was charged by my previous provider $295 for an early termination fee.

No communication, didn't sign me up for a plan by the time I closed (with plenty of advance notice). I think they still have some process issues to work out.
