i have eaten at Provision many times. unfortunately last evening was the worst service we have ever had. almost always service has been exemplary but last night considering this is one of the finest restaurants in the city is was poor. our food was good and was brought hot but the server seemed to be rather clueless. the manager intervened to finally get me the drink i wanted, Tanquereay on the rocks with a few drops of dry vermouth. i really like Provision but we will probably not eat there for a while. Thank you.
The flavors were great but the execution was lackluster. Several of the Chef's dining menu courses, namely the duck and the lamb, were overcooked and cold by the time they reached our table.
