For SEVEN YEARS this accounting firm dragged its feet, obfuscated its efforts, and just plain gave me the longest runaround I've ever been a party to in my entire life. I used them to file my personal taxes in 2016, provided all the accompanying documents, and they omitted a crucial 1099 that resulted in a "substantial tax understatement penalty" that accrued interest until it totaled a penalty of $2,268. I would not recommend their service. I have never had such bad customer service. I went to them to file my sister’s estate taxes and they did not get them done in time. I was first told they would be done within 2 days. When I called on tax day, I was told it would not be a problem and I should contact them if I heard from the IRS. Well, I got a bill for $2669 for filing the taxes late. I have been trying to get assistance from them and just get a runaround. I have to pay the taxes today and no one has yet to help me.
I have done my taxes in person for a few years and the service was great. I recently moved and I did my taxes over the phone. She did call me on time but forms were not downloaded,I was told she will call me back;that never happen. I continue to insist and finally got a call back with my taxes already done and no communication between person preparing my taxes and myself. I would give 0 star if I could. I got audited for two tax years- don’t believe the “guarantees “ they make. They processed unauthorized tax payment nearly and $20,000, which caused an additional $400 in stopped payments, not to mention the bank fees. Nobody from “customer care” responded- I’ve reported them to BBB, IRS, and NYS.

This was the worst experience. Not only does Mr. Rene Garcia have no personality, but he is unreliable and let the ball drop for Months and then claimed to be working from home. Then had the audacity to charge me for the bad service. I reported this to Management and did not even receive an apology from either Mr. Garcia not Ebony the office manager. Bad business!!! Gallagher would be appalled!!!! I will never refer anyone to this business!
