My accountant advised me to open an IRA for $2000 for tax purposes. I did. He then informed me this year I cannot claim. He also said to expect to pay $2000 to the feds for TY2018. I paid $4961!! This is 2 years in a row I was blindsided with over payments to the IRS. After years being with him I finally fired him. And to think I paid $280 for this EXPERT advise.
