Now that the honeymoon and the holidays are over, I can sit and reminisce about our October wedding day at Rock Island Lake Club. I have to go all the way back to the day we chose Rock Island. We had already looked at a few other venues, but every venue seemed to be just like the last and nothing was popping out at us. It's a beautiful venue but definitely has its drawbacks. In the bridal suite, the couch with the fancy material is sagging very badly. The other couches and seats were stained as well. The main ball room is not quite a ballroom. It's flooring is the same as my daughter's school gym! We were looking at 125 people and it looks like they would be squished around the tables. While this is a beautiful venue especially the downstairs cocktail room which is literally to die for, I found the $140pp quoted to us a bit over priced. Th... read more
