Simple menu with great Calgary food - beef. Well cooked and very good service!!
I must say I was disappointed in the quality of food. It we all had steak which all seemed to be overdone and were not as tender as you would expect. For $36.00 I would expect more than a bake potatoe on my plate a disappointing steak. Our server was pleasant and the ambiance was a nice setting.

Friendly and knowledgable staff, relaxed atmosphere and a useful location for downtown workers. After multiple visits ove the years this is still my first choice when an enjoyable dinner is required.
I am on business in Calgary quite a bit. I find Saltlik's staff to be dependable and skilled, and the food is fantastic! A visit to the Saltlik is a wonderful way to spend an evening.
Ambiance was great - we were able to sit next to the fire which was nice on a cold evening. The wine list wasn't great and the server didn't know anything about the wine when we asked for a recommendation. The food was great though.
Every time we go we are consistently impressed with both the service and food. The quality of both is outstanding. The French Onion soup was amazing and my wife commented her Caesar salad was the best she had. I tried the peppercorn steak (which is one of the more expensive items) and initially I found the steak slightly overdone, however things got better as I ate (I started at the thinnest point).
