I was not prepared for how painful and long lasting recovery would be. The swelling and discomfort was minimized in initial description. The explanation being that everyone heals differently when I experienced more pain and longer discomfort than I expected. This was not a minor procedure, as I had falsely perceived. I was in no way able to get back to work in three days as projected. I missed a week and went back to work with serious discomfort and fatigue into the second week. My overall experience was amazing all of the staff were very friendly, I felt extremely comfortable and relaxed from the first appointment through surgery. My one suggestion would be to update the handout material given out explaining pre/post surgery. After reading the material I had several questions to confirm what I needed to do to be prepared.
