They are physically abusing the patients sending them to trauma center's when they should be counseling and I know this because my nephew went there for less than 48 hours and the staff gave him a concussion, 3 brain bleeds, 3 nasal area fractures his occipital lobe is fractured he has a bruised tailbone as well as needing to wear a neck brace for the very least 6 weeks to make sure his cervical vertebrae heal and he doesn't become paralyzed.
Idk why people go against this place. It isnt suppose to be a vacation of fun it's supposed to be a lesson and to evaluate children and youth that are needing a little extra help understanding how to cope with different things. I have a 12 yr old boy in there right now for anger and suicidal. Let me just say this I would be very upset if they wasnt strict and left him have all the freedom and do what ever he wanted that's not why hes there it isnt a party time. i went there 7 times it those where the worst times of my life they need to have more freedom and the staff need to be more nice and also they need to get better food
watch the kids better or have more staff on weekend so kids can keep eye on better
I was forced to be a patient there in the early 2000's I'd say from 2006 -2008 so from 7,8,9 to 11, or 12 years old while being they're I was abused physically daily by staff by the names Marcus and Seth don't know they're last names or I say while being there I was beaten almost every day the staff they're knew this was going on and when I would speak on this it would get worse. I remember my grandmother had bought me a stuffed monkey for my 8th birthday these individuals cut the head off my monkey and put it on the pill... read more
I was FORCED to be in inpatient there in 2013. Literally one of the worst experiences of my life, and a big reason why I don't trust people, especially mental health professionals. The place is not warm or welcoming at all. The staff is rude and uneducated. One of the female staff members there made fun of me for being constipated due to the medication they put me on.
