We did fully understand this was a restaurant with a piano bar. However I asked if we could have a seat in the other room to the pianist so we could at least talk to each other without shouting. He had no seats and said it would be at least 20mins to 30 mins. We sat about 4 seats away and although early on he played a few calmer songs it wasn’t long before he started we felt to enjoy himself playing much more upbeat and very loud tracks which meant his voice and the piano were competing at our expense. Wonderful service, seating straight away even thou we were early, fabulous waiter who was funny, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Cocktails were really good, amazing starters, the Hummus had to have been freshly made I’m sure it was so good and the smoky duck breast starter was fabulous, main courses, we had a variety, we’re all delicious and the deserts sublime, overall a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend and definitely go back
Really lovely place, would highly recommend. Great central location right opposite the baths & abbey. Reasonably priced menu and the food was really tasty. I had requested an inside table in the piano bar area and I'm glad I did - we waited a little while at the bar for the table but it was worth it. The piano player was fabulous and created a party atmosphere. Not sure what it was like in the rest of the restaurant, if you wanted a quiet night to chat to friends I think you'd need to sit upstairs! We would definitely return... read more

Lovely food, great service. Plenty of choice on the menu and good portion sizes. The wine list is big enough without being too much and the choice of other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks is excellent.
The services were excellent. The live piano is great. Seafood is great. However, I could not pay with American Express, though I would consider another restaurant with the AE payment next time (as a regular diner, I regularly take the guests dinning in Bath).
Really lovely food. Very tasty! And good portions. Our waitress Julia was also very professional, attentive and accommodating. We were sadly served champagne that was a little on the flat side... but it was quickly replaced with a new bottle. The manager however did seem a bit uncomfortable with us giving some justifiable feedback on this particular matter... which was disappointing. But overall it was a pleasant experience with very nice food. Would eat here again.
Back again and the service was as good as ever. Definitely book as it gets very busy. Booked a table for 1830 to be near the pianist. Good menu options, catered for GF. Excellent food and drinks . Great entertainment from Terry Franks on the ivories, good scope of music and songs. Plays requests . Service and staff very good , highly recommend.
