We as a family love Starchild Windermere. The staff is very friendly and easy to talk to. The are always great when it comes to communication. Our son has been going there from pre-K, he is now 8 and still loves it. Not to mention the hours are great for us working parents. He enjoys going to camp there in the summer soaking in all the wonderful field trip adventures they get to go on, and playing with his friends. Absolutely LOVE StarChild Academy- Windermere! My son has attended the Before/After School and Summer Camp programs for the past 3 years, since they opened. I only have wonderful things to say about them! The entire staff is friendly, attentive, caring and professional. They take great care of the kids and treat my son with such kindness. For my husband and idea the idea of starting our 6 month old scared us to death and after having our baby girl enrolled in the infant care room for about 2 months we could not be more thankful for how amazing this team of teachers have been. We LOVE Star Child Windermere--my daughter has attended for 9 months now and she is 4. My son (6 at the time, now 7) attended the summer camp and had a blast! Mr. Danny has been extremely accommodating as we were working out how to get my son bussed from Keene's crossing after school to Start Child. The front desk staff, including Michelle, have been nothing but helpful and professional 100% of the time. We love the curriculum. Everyday our daughter comes home and surprises us with what she has learned for the day. She can count to 20 in English, 10 in Spanish, knows all of her animal sounds and can almost spell her name. This is amazing for a toddler that is not even 2 years old!
We have three children at StarChild, two full time and one before and after school. Our children have really enjoyed their teachers, classmates and the learning activities. I feel our children have thrived, and I feel extremely comfortable and pleased with the amount they learn while at StarChild. I definitely recommended it.
We have 2 of our children at the StarChild Academy in Windermere full time and could not be happier. Our 10 month old absolutely loves being there! He loves his teachers and the staff and just smiles and will reach for them to hold him. My 4yo is in the Prek program and is learning so much and is trying all kinds of new foods thanks to lunch being provided! This is not a safe environment for a place that is responsible for child care. it started when my 2 yr old was coming home with bite marks all over her body. Then I would pick her up and when I change her diaper there was still poop from not being wiped correctly. Even with the cameras the "teachers" were forceful and inattentive to the children in the class. I have 3 yr old twins and they were attending Star Child, Windermere by Publix and they told us we can't bring our son back because he was a liability for them because he was running out the class room door and then out the lobby and then out their front door. They offered no advice on how to rectify the problem. I was beyond disappointed in their establishment because as far as I'm concerned when I leave my child at your daycare I expect them to be safe and looked after.
