I brought my boyfriend in for his wisdom teeth removal and was not allowed to wait in the waiting area or be included in the consultation before hand. While in the office the employees were using profanity and complaining to my boyfriend about me being in the waiting area filling paperwork out. I was told his surgery would take an hour and after an hour and 45 minutes I had to go in and ask the status and they told me they were going to bring him out to the car. Telling parents of a minor that they cannot accompany their child to the procedure room, much less in to the building is wrong. How do I know who is with him while he’s vulnerable (ie. sedated, upset, sick)? Having to wait in the car during a consultation and procedure? Not even getting a face to face with the Doctor who will be taking care of my child? As a Mom this entire experience has left a bad feeling with me. Telling a parent of a minor child that through any major procedure they need to wait in parking lot while the minor child is in office sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen. When you actually get true phones where it doesn’t sound like you’re talking to someone in a wind tunnel, you offer better customer service and change your outrageous policies it’s no wonder you and practice have a horrible rating.
Experience was terrible. Front desk lady was beyond rude. Would not allow a spouse to sit in on consultation for my wife even though she is from a foreign country.
Never take your child to this dentist!. As soon as I walked in I got a creepy vibe because of the dark interior. The front lady was rude. They would not let me back there for when my daughter was getting her IV placed for sedation. That is a scary experience for a child to have to go through alone especially if they are not used to going through that alone. I was not even allowed to wait in the lobby I had to wait in my car. She was so heavily sedated when she left it was not even safe. She slept for about an hour afterward.... read more
Dr. Shufflebarger was a referral from our dentist for wisdom tooth extraction. Due to COVID, they were handling everything through text messages. After receiving authorization from my insurance we heard nothing. Found out at our cleaning today he quit taking our insurance. Someone should have contacted us, sounds like they could have sent a group text.
The staff was continually rude prior to appointment and the day of appointment for our daughter. The office is making up Covid rules that even hospitals, dr offices and dental offices do not have. Not allowing parents of minors in the building is sketchy. What do they not want us to know about what is happening inside. They should deduct a gas fee off dental bill for parents having to wait outside in the cold with car running for almost 2 hours.
I was referred to him by my orthodontist I called the office and was sent responses through text then nothing they just plainly stopped communicating . I was trying to get an appointment but they wouldnt respond back I even left message with the office manager and still nothing almost 2 months later I get a letter from my insurance company that they sent a prior authorization and was approved before they ever talked to me or made an appointment which my insurance company said shouldve happened . Steve was awesome! Steve himself was great.. No pain! Healing great. I visited the office on East Alex Bell.. The lady who numb me was horrible and rude as ever and very aggressive.. she was so ruff numbing I have the biggest cut in the crease of my jaw and gum from the needle it turned into a huge cranker.. this hurts more than the healing process.. this was my second time ever in Steve chair and he was awesome.. but the lady who numb me was horrible..
