My wife, sister-in-law, & I sat outside and enjoyed a wonderful meal. A light rain started but we were able to pull together the oversize umbrellas and continued our lunch outside. I ordered from the Northside Nights menu and had a nice salad, filet mignon with baked potato and mixed veggies, and a chocolate torte with raspberry sauce. All were good! My wife had a salad and the shrimp. The only complaint was the cole slaw didn't have much flavor. She shared a creme brulee with her sister. (just right!) My sister in law order... read more
I wanted to take a friend for a special outing forger birthday. Having the open table reservation helped. It was very busy and we were seated on time,
Good food; very atentive staff; one of my more favorite restaurants.
Food and service was very good. When my husband noticed his water glass was chipped, they were very apologetic and brought him a new one right away.
Great food and service! I would recommend!
Plusses: Elegant decor. Nice lounge to stop for a tasty beverage before dinner. Well-rounded menu -- selecting an entree is always difficult here because there are no wrong choices, everything is consistently delicious! Minuses: Quite noisy, and those with hearing aids had difficulty participating in conversations. We are always seated on the fringe (near the wait-staff service station or at the table barely inside the entrance to the dining room)--high traffic areas. Not sure why that is, we always reserve well in advance!
Food was excellent as always but when we checked in we asked for a table by the window in the back room. We were told that no seating was available there due to number of wait staff that evening. 15-20 mins after we were seated, several other parties were seated there and used same wait staff that was in our area..... poor service by front desk/hostess.
