I treated a sister friend I treated a sister friend to dinner in celebration of her recent birthday. We are both in our early 50s and the waiter kept referring to us as "you guys". We are both college educated and the birthday celebrant has a advanced degree. Although my reflection is perhaps generational I do believe it's something to think about.
