We met another couple for an early (5 p.m.) Valentine's Day meal and were seated in a large, cozy booth upon request. Since it was meant for 6, we had plenty of room to stow our coats. My Salmon Forno dish was well-prepared (not overcooked) and attractively presented. My husband was pleased with his medium-rare filet. Good friends and good food for Valentine's Day. Service was great and the food was fantastic as usual. Some VDay dinner and drink specials too! I had my usual Campfire Fettucini which was excellent once again! The table had two appetizers, both of which were fantastic! Desert was the bomb! Also witnessed a marriage proposal which was awesome! She said, "Yes!"
We were greeted by a less than friendly hostess who seated us upstairs which was less than pleasant for my blind 86-year-old mother (no elevator). Were it not for the fact it was Valentines Day in the midst of a snowstorm, I would have left immediately. We were taken to our table upstairs and told to "wait a sec" from the young man who was to "seat" us. Super nice ambiance, seems a great place to bring visitors from out of town. Our first visit, had early bird specials. Good salad, great bread and dipping oil. fried battered shrimp was great, and nice portion of it, as well as side dishes. Husband had salmon, good, but very small portion. He wouldn't get again, he also missed croutons in salad.
Delicious dinner, excellent service and reasonable prices.
