This was an interesting dinner. About halfway through, I'd have given it 1 star, because our server was one of the very worst I've ever had at a nice restaurant. I won't bore you with a list of problems, but eventually a member of our party finally went and asked to see a manager. The food was outstanding and a value for the money. Service was quite good and the server was very friendly and staff was friendly also.
We have always had a good experience at Stone Creek but this time was not as good as we have come to expect. When we arrived we were escorted to a table in the bar that was about 18 inches in diameter. So small that we felt couldn't accommodate dinner for two. There were a number of larger tables that were open so we explained that we were having dinner not just cocktails and would like a larger table. Went for dinner on Mother's Day. Had reservation and got seated right away. Server was friendly and did a good job but food was very slow in coming from kitchen. They ran out of Bibb lettuce for the salmon salad and substituted romaine. Not as flavorful and lots of lettuce and small salmon portion with little cheese or tomato. short rib grilled cheese was ordered by another diner who loved it. Quality of food good as always. Would recommend.
