We love going to Stone Creek for a date night. We like to sit in the bar away from young children. Everything we have eaten on the menu is delicious. We usually have great service, but this night our salad plates sat there for a long time even after the waitress refilled our glasses twice. Our steaks were cooked perfectly!!
Generally we avoid restaurants in strip malls, however, Stone Creek is a keeper. We noticed the outdoor area was busy, so we opted to enjoy a beautiful Friday evening outside. The service was super and the food was great. Very nice assortment of wines by the glass and bottle, as well as some local craft beers on tap. My NY Strip was not as good a cut of meat I'd expect for $26, but it was perfectly cooked. My wife had the chicken scaloppine, which she was reluctant to share, so it must've been divine. First time for lunch. Usual excellent service. I had the BLTA - very good. Also have lunch portions of the pasta dishes. Will start frequenting for lunch.
An all around good dining experience. Food was excellent and the staff was friendly.
Dinner and drinks - we both had entree salads which for $14 and $15 seemed steep. Were not as large as they have been in the past and meat portions seemed skimpy. Wednesday night is half price martini night, which is always fun to try new drinks. Servers seemed tired - one waiting on another table was complaining how he had worked over 100 hours in the past week. Not sure what that was about or why he needed to share that with everyone. Yummy bread and dipping oil.
Our waiter was excellent. And the food was very good. We will return.
We were there on Mother's Day, so I expected long delays and frazzled servers; however, we had an EXCELLENT experience with both our amazing server and great food. We have eaten at all of the Indianapolis establishments owned by this company and they never disappoint!
