Overall the experience was just "OK". The bread was very good but the salad and main entrees were average. I had the shrimp and angel hair pasta dish while my wife had the filet mignon. The filet mignon was easily 2 shades too pink to qualify as "medium well" so my wife had to send that back to get reheated. The shrimp was OK but the pasta -much like the house salad- had too many bits n' pieces of stuff mixed in (e.g. asparagus, onions, tomatoes, etc) such that overall it tasted "off balance". Jeff was our server and did an outstanding job. He was friendly, fun, on-top of things but not hovering, and I give him a 10. The entire staff from the greeters at the front to the dessert server were all good. The food was delicious, hot and quickly served. Have to laugh as my friend and I were going to take our desserts home to her husband. Once we saw the carrot cake, we both ate ours while still in Stone Creek at Zionsville. Poor husband, no cake. lol Great job Stone Creek!
Stone Creek is always a favorite of ours and this time we met another couple for dinner. We like the bar area, which has a nice upscale seating area as well as an exposed wine cellar and bar top. The food and drink selection is consistently very good, with a nice selection of entrees in the $15-25 range as well as sandwiches and appetizers. There are usually at least 8-10 beers on tap plus a reasonably priced wine list. Food was lovely. Service was great. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgable and gave great suggestions.
