I visited this facility We toured Sunny View. They have some two-bedroom places that are not connected directly to the main building. The person we talked to thought it would be better not to put us in one of those because my wife and I are using walkers. When we go somewhere that requires a long distance, we have a transport wheelchair, and a wheelchair up and down some of the slopes wouldn't be a good idea. So, she suggested a very large one-bedroom, which could be used for the king bed and a desk. The problem was that the... read more
I visited this facility Sunny View was a nice place and a nice setting. It's not a high-rise structure. They had nice outside courtyards. They had courts for playing games like bocce ball. It's a continuing care place, and the buy-in cost is more reasonable than the other place. The apartments were nice and reasonably sized. The staff was friendly and helpful.
I visited this facility I liked Sunny View Retirement Community. It has been there since 1964. It has a vibrant culture, it looked nice, and had a homey feel to it. They have an active building program, so they always seem to be adding and improving their facilities. I also liked that it's a nonprofit and that it offers a continuum of care. There's a lot of green space between the buildings. So, there's a lot of open space, and I think it's the largest campus of all the ones I saw. It's already full,... read more

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident I love Sunny View. The people are amazingly kind and helpful. I've been so surprised at how wonderful the people have been, which you don't always find in retirement communities. Everything is included, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They give you two entrees on the menu and choices for dessert, soup, and salad. The food is good. They have all of the things that you want, like buses to take you shopping, people coming in to do shows for you, a section wi... read more
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident We placed my father-in-law at Sunny View and he's happy there. It seemed really good, we didn't smell any urine, and it seemed very clean. The residents are very nice to each other, and the employees are very nice to the residents. The food is good. It's not spectacular, but they present it very nicely. They have exercise classes every day for different levels, social activities almost every day, and it's up to the residents to decide if they want to pa... read more
I visited this facility Sunny View was very nice. I was able to visit the homes, and they looked very nice. The staff and the residents were very friendly.
I visited this facility When we went there at Sunny View Retirement, they didn't have anybody to really show us around. We kind of walked around, and it seems like a much older facility. I think it needs renovation because it looked more clinical to me. It didn't seem as inviting as the other ones we have visited. I kind of looked in the dining room. It wasn't cafeteria style, but it was OK. We didn't really get to really see what the memory care unit looked like, but we could just tell that it wasn'... read more
I visited this facility We went to the rooms at Sunnyview, and they were very spacious. The dining area was good. The staff were very courteous and everything you would expect them to be in a pretty difficult situation.
